Short Description

This session describes dissertation research that sought to understand the impact of targeted online learner analytics (TOLA) activities on pre-service teachers’ evolving digital pedagogy. Preliminary findings show an increased awareness of online learning processes and behaviors related to time and learning paths. Analysis of TOLA informed the design of web-based activities with open-ended questions. Moreover, TOLA activities strengthened pedagogical data literacy, enabling participants to consider data as a tool to improve teaching and learning in technology-enabled classrooms.
