What Impacts Students’ Feelings of Connectedness with Instructors? Lessons for a New Ed.D. in IDT

Short Description

Perceptions of online graduate students were investigated to determine what factors contribute to feelings of connectedness and isolation. Study results were placed into the context of a new Ed.D. in IDT to identify factors that could be translated into best practices for the new program with the intent of growing and fostering feelings of connectedness between students and faculty. Ideas for how to apply the findings to other programs will be discussed as a group.
