Technology Progression in School Counseling and Counselor Education: To Meet Diverse Needs

Short Description

In K-12 education, school counselors are the main professionals to provide facilitation to culturally diverse and underrepresented students. The importance of school counselors’ use of technology has been stressed by the American School Counselor Association. This presentation is a review of the literature regarding the use and development of technologies and pedagogy in K-12 school counseling services and counselor graduate education. It will also discuss technology resources and limitations and provide suggestions for integration and training.
