Short Description

This study investigated the predictive power of successful MOOC learners’ self-regulated learning strategies, self-efficacy, and task value for their perceived effectiveness of a Massive Open Online Course. The results of stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that successful MOOC learners’ perceived effectiveness was predicted by the use of self-regulated learning strategies and task value. In addition, perceived effectiveness was predicted by metacognitive activities after learning, environmental structuring, and time management.
