Motivating Critical Thinkers: Promoting 21st Century Skills Through Technology Integrated Project-Based Learning

Short Description

This action research involved 26 fourth-grade students in a project-based learning unit centered around scientific concepts animal habitats, adaptations, and human influence on the environment. Students worked in teams to research a Florida animal, create habitat models, develop a digital educational presentation, and prepare for presenting their learning to different audiences. Three themes emerged from the data: growing critical thinking skills, co-creating artifacts, and reaching an authentic audience.
