Getting Into the Flow: Leveraging Flow Theory in Instructional Design to Increase Learner Engagement

Short Description

Flow theory may have implications for increasing student learning and engagement. Instructional designers interested in deepening student engagement may wish to incorporate strategies and techniques to encourage the flow experience in students. This concurrent session will examine the elements of flow, and present a research-based model for including flow-encouraging strategies in the instructional design process. Participants will experience the strategies thus far developed and collaborate on further ideas for the inclusion of these strategies.
