Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes for Instructional Designers and Educational Technologists

Short Description

This presentation will share the results of a survey of 225 instructional design and educational technology professionals on the importance of knowledge, skills, and attitudes on the job. Survey items were derived from in-depth interviews, a review of literature, and expert review, and pilot tested with the target audience. In addition to knowledge and skills typically focused on in ID education, high ratings were given to a wide variety of professional skills and attitudes.
