Essential Project Management Competencies across Educational Technology Contexts: A Web-Based Delphi Study

Thu, Nov 5, 4:30 to 5:45pm EST (4:30 to 5:45pm EST), Virtual AECT, River13

Short Description

This study explores competencies for effective educational technology (ET) project management (PM). ET-PM competence is conceptualized using Crawford’s (2005) model and the AECT construct of ET. After leading a panel of experienced ET PMs in a consensus-building process of three rounds of online questionnaires, the researcher interpreted results using a pluralist approach to PM. Results were then compared with three prominent approaches to PM competence: Brill’s (2006) success factors, PMBOK, and PMP Examination Content Outline.
