How do we structure group assignments to encourage positive group interdependence as well as individual accountability? Once we have an assignment worthy of group effort, what are the ways we can assess the groups’ team skills as well as the final end product? This session will explore the challenges associated with designing and implementing group work while proposing evidence-based solutions to address obstacles faced by both students and faculty, regardless of course format, education level or instructional strategy being used.
