Designing for transfer: Leveraging context in an authentic learning-based program

Short Description

Despite the widely recognized influence in learning and transfer, context has yet been fully explored in learning experience design. It is challenging for learners to process targeted content into transferable knowledge and skills due to the detached contexts. In capturing the nature and complexity of context, I will present a design case of an educational outreach program to demonstrate how to leverage context in designing authentic learning and training programs.
