Short Description

Social dynamics are essential parts of collaborative discussions. Yet, a few studies have investigated interventions that can support both emotional and cognitive monitoring and regulation across different contexts, especially those involving sensitive subjects that might provoke emotional responses in diverse teams. Thus, this design-based research aims to develop and validate a model of socio-emotional competence that can help students make sense of and regulate collaborative discourse on sensitive content in an intergroup CSCL context.
