Integrating Clinical Cases Across Modules to Advance Medical Education

Short Description

Clinical respiratory cases were designed by a team of content experts and instructional designers to present medical students with integrated learning experiences across modules. In 2019, the team illustrated the design of the cases, and characterized the planned design process. Differences in expertise and approaches, however, limited the application of systematic design methods. This year, we present data on students’ use, reactions, and learning, and lessons learned by team members after implementation in two modules.
