While there very well may be scholarship out of ID worth calling “theory”, this presentation argues that there is at least one kind of scholarly product from ID which should not be called theory — despite a deep-rooted tradition which would establish it as such. That is: rigorous “prescriptive” recommendations about what to do in instruction or in its design. This lecture-style presentation will leave time for lively debate at the end.
