Short Description

As online learning enables increasingly diverse groups of learners to share instruction, culturally-situated learning design becomes increasingly necessary. Culturally responsive pedagogy (CRP) is a framework utilized in classroom settings to celebrate diversity and ensure equitable learning outcomes. The Dick and Carey model is widely adapted by instructional design professionals to create meaningful learning experiences. This synthesis of CRP and the Dick and Carey model is intended for use as a framework to design culturally-situated instruction.
