Short Description

This presentation reports on a case study that sought to explore the learning of students using an open-source add-on, Piazza, as part of their online course. In particular, this study focused on the learning experiences that learners had in the purposefully implemented, yet informal space that Piazza provided. Piazza was used as a space for students to develop a creative community that supported their interests and academic needs.
