Instructional designers work within course design guidelines, whether those guidelines are informal understandings like heuristics or formally adopted documents. Through discussion of specific examples from presenters and participants alike, you will leave the session able to interpret standards related to culturally-inclusive practices within course design; justify the explicit inclusion of culturally-inclusive practices within course design guidelines; and promote culturally-inclusive design practices by recommending revisions to course design guidelines.
