Short Description

English Only Space (EOS) at Atyrau University in western Kazakhstan is an innovative design aligning the physical environment and educational content for accelerated learning English in the non-English speaking country. Culturally-situated in the predominantly Kazak-speaking environment, this learning space has turned into a unique linguistic and sociocultural lab. The poster presents the design of the learning space and research outcomes demonstrating how the physical space uniquely enable beneficial language learning activities.
