Defining and Assessing Instructional Designer Competencies

Short Description

Competency-based education (CBE) is a growing interest in higher education because of its focus on mastery of learning and acquisition of knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA). However, most higher education programs face challenges in assessment of competencies. This presentation will walk participants through our process of creating a competency guide for students and instructors, and competency review guide for instructors to promote meaningful evaluations of student competence.
