Short Description

This study compared the effects of splitting attention between a screencast video and a related software application. Two forms of an instructional efficiency metric were used to examine differences between two instructional configurations for software training. We will discuss lessons learned and the benefits and drawbacks of this metric. Our aim is to foster a constructive discussion regarding the strengths and weaknesses of different learning analytics to contribute to a culturally-situated analysis of learning systems.
