Developing Performance Improvement Skills through Case Study: Interaction Matters

Mon, Nov 2, 9:00 to 10:15am EST (9:00 to 10:15am EST), Virtual AECT, City2

Short Description

Case studies can be an effective tool to help develop critical analytical and problem solving skills. Ideally, these skills should be practiced through authentic engagement with the scenario. This can be challenging when all the information is presented upfront, as is the case with written case studies. This paper compares the use of traditional and partial interactive cases in supporting the skills acquisition by graduate students enrolled in an online human performance technology course.
