Case Studies in a Human Performance Technology Course: Simulation Space

Short Description

Case studies can be an effective pedagogical tool to simulate real-life experience, yet challenging to implement in an asynchronous environment. An interactive simulation was designed to enable graduate students to explore a realistic case to investigate problems, identify gaps, and recommend solutions. An iterative design process allowed the design team to develop the experience using off-the-shelf software. This presentation will discuss the design case and lessons learned based on our experience and student feedback.
