This qualitative case study examines one approach for assessing deep learning on making activities through student video-based reflections in informal makerspaces. Whereas most makerspace research examines the effects of makerspace activities on students’ STEM knowledge and interests, little is known about what kind of learning experiences and capabilities students develop. In this study, student reflections on maker projects were analyzed for evidence of computational thinking.
