Defensive and control tactics training has been researched deeply mostly focused on psychomotor aspects of such trainings. But this research is focused on perceptual cognitive aspect of DCT with a specific skill of Attack recognition. Adopting the findings from sports research and applying them in a law enforcement setting this study could provide a strong foundation for practitioners to develop cost effective and easily accessible training systems to improve police officer’s performance and eventually accelerate their expertise. Attendees will gain insight on how to adopt and apply the research method used in this study to design and develop training regiments in various domains.
