The systematic review documents how K-12 teachers characterized the use of technology for equitable learning. Publications identified were coded and synthesized qualitatively. Findings reveal that teachers preferred applying technology to boost student knowledge and skill acquisition than encouraging learning participation. As teachers were found less aware about the critical use of technology in supporting underserved students’ learning, technology was less likely to be used to empower student agency and cultivate them as critical citizens.
