Leveraging Video Enhanced Observation in Teacher Education

Short Description

Video enhanced observation (VEO) mobile application helps record, tag, and share critical moments of teaching on a mobile platform. We designed an innovative pedagogical approach and integrated it in VEO’s tagging system. We used this approach with 21 teachers in during science peer teaching sessions. We explored teacher candidates’ perceived ease of use and intention to use VEO. Analysis revealed moderate levels of the constructs and highlighted affordances and challenges of their interaction with VEO.
