Create an Engaging Classroom using Team-Based Learning and Service Learning

Short Description

Attendees will see how team-based learning (TBL) and service-learning (SL) work together and enhance three relationships: student with community, student with faculty, and faculty with community. Attendees will be introduced to the essentials and practices used in TBL and SL and keys to creating effective group assignments. Participants will experience the main classroom practices used in SL and TBL classrooms. They will be equipped with the basic ingredients to use both in their own classrooms.
