Short Description

Focusing on warehouse supervisors, this study examined how six participants (experts with a minimum of ten years of experience in warehouse safety practices) developed their expertise over time in their workplace. The findings revealed that the expertise development involved not only practicing experiences, but also training and mentoring by their mentors, as well as drive to succeed, desire to learn and reflect on actions. The study contributed to the expertise research by exploring the motivational and social values.
