Teachers’ value beliefs associated with using Open Educational Resources in K-12 education

Fri, Nov 6, 9:00 to 10:15am EST (9:00 to 10:15am EST), Virtual AECT, City7

Short Description

Open educational resources (OER) can be a viable alternative to traditional textbooks for K-12 educators to implement differentiated instruction. To further advocate teachers’ use of OER, understanding teachers’ value beliefs is necessary. This research conducted latent class analysis on teachers’ value belief statement and then assigned teachers into four classes by their value beliefs towards using OER. Educational scholars and practitioners investing in open education and teacher education will benefit from attending this session.
