The literature points to a number of challenges in creating multi-user virtual environments for individuals with autism. While design principles are alluded to in the field, little exists to guide developers through this research to practice gap. In this session we address this gap and present narrative from an instrumental case study to highlight how a small interdisciplinary team was able to create a vibrant and realistic virtual reality intervention for adults with autism.
