Exploring Library Faculty Perceptions of Online Learning

Sat, Nov 7, 9:00 to 10:15am EST (9:00 to 10:15am EST), Virtual AECT, City8

Short Description

Like most faculty, librarians are trained as scholars and practitioners, but not necessarily as expert teachers. Most librarians who teach do so via in-person classroom visits, and like much of higher education, were not prepared for a shift to online-only instruction. This presentation describes the results of a survey of academic libraries focused on perceptions of online learning as a mode for library instruction and what these perceptions mean for libraries and library instructional designers.
