Teacher Perspectives on a District-specific Social Media Tool

Short Description

In Hawaii, with only one public school district distributed across islands, there is a great need for online networking and professional development for K12 teachers. A district-specific, custom social media tool has been proposed to facilitate teacher collaboration and resource sharing. This session will present the results of a needs analysis conducted for the proposed tool, including a focus group with teacher leaders. Results will be contextualized within Hawaii’s unique culture and characteristics.
