While various studies have explored social justice themes such as the connections between UDL and culturally responsive pedagogy (Kieran & Anderson, 2018; James, 2018; Cressey, 2020; Chita-Tegmark et.al., 2012 ), few have taken into account the international students’ perspective. This qualitative study aims to explore how the three principles of UDL can be implemented to meet the specific needs of international students. To achieve this, five students studying at American universities will provide personal reflections on the barriers they face as international students and how the three principles of UDL can be applied to meet their needs.
