Short Description

This session is the presentation of a collaborative project of primary and secondary teachers in Sub-Saharan Africa exploring the experiences of their respective schools with emergency remote teaching in the country of Namibia during the COVID-19 pandemic. The presentations will highlight the cultural landscape of the country’s rural and urban schools and its resulting impact on schools’ efforts to adopt e-learning during the COVID-19 shutdown. Each speaker will also present a unique lesson learned in their context and a context-specific recommendation for improving emergency remote teaching in the future.
