Tue, Nov 3, 1:00 to 1:45pm EST (1:00 to 1:45pm EST), Virtual AECT, Grand6

This session acknowledges systemic and institutional racism, colonialism, heteronormativity, sexism, socioeconomic status and the intersectionality that our students find themselves in. The goal of this session is to create a critical studies agenda for our field that goes beyond diversity and inclusiveness training checklists, false empathy (Delgado 1996; Warren & Hotchkins, 2015) and “white racial epiphanies” (Matias, 2016
