This proposal reports formative evaluation results of a technology-enhanced curriculum design and development effort aimed at engaging upper elementary afterschool learners in cryptography and cybersecurity. Our presentation will share key components of this curriculum, present qualitative and quantitative results from the formative evaluation of the first implementation, and summarize successful experiences and lessons we learned from this implementation in two afterschool programs.
