As computer science (CS) education opportunities for K-12 students have expanded worldwide, this systematic review examined how CS education was implemented in schools and its efficacy for developing students' computational thinking (CT). The findings showed that overall CS education promoted the development of students' CT skills. In addition, CS education improved students' academic achievement, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills. Challenges and implications for practice and future research will be shared during the presentation.
