Short Description

This follow-up study further investigated the five categories of expressed needs (i.e., educational technology, job-related, announcement, general pedagogical advice, and COVID-related pedagogical advice) of instructional design practitioners during the pandemic from a large public Facebook group called Instructional Designers. We implemented natural language processing tasks for each category to report hidden topic structures, instructional elements, and educational technologies that supported instructional designers’ rapid transition to emergency remote learning.
