This presentation is to review research studies of active learning and student engagement, and provide a current understanding of the issues and challenges pertinent to online teaching and learning. In addition, the presentation also discusses instructional strategies for the effective use of student engagement and active learning in online courses and learning activities. The content will provide with insight and fundamental considerations to enhance student engagement and promote an active learning approach in online teaching.
