This presentation outlines the challenges in defining and applying confirmative evaluation and explores how a typology that defines evaluation by its purpose first accounts for different evaluation types in different evaluation models while revealing the importance of confirmative evaluation within these models. This presentation then demonstrates that confirmative evaluation is a distinct form of evaluation that needs more attention in our literature and how we can better address it in the literature.
