Short Description

This study describes Grade 5-8 students’ experiences when they participated in the GirlsCode Summer Camp. The findings can help researchers better understand teenage schoolgirls’ perspectives on CS and their CS abilities, and it can help K-12 educators design their CS curriculum to better impact learning. The presenters will review the implementation of a Robotics and Programming Summer Camp based on active learning theories and seek insight from colleagues on similar endeavors.
