Engaging students in storytelling can foster learning. In this presentation, we demonstrate a digital storytelling platform that introduces physical science concepts around the context of an orienting story with underlying problems to resolve. Using the platform, upper elementary students program digital stories that convey solutions to selected problems, then physically manifest those stories with maker kits. We discuss options for maker kits to reinforce conceptual understanding and augment storytelling during problem articulation and story delivery.
