Short Description

An educational imperative is learners' ability to learn deeply and then apply their learning to novel situations. ​​This impact practice session conceptualizes a learner-centered approach to learning transfer by marrying an actor-oriented transfer perspective with an instructional design approach - the Learning Transfer Mental Model. No matter if in the early years, graduate-level studies, or on-the-job training, this session will provide participants with strategies they can use to support transfer in their setting.
