Short Description

For this presentation, the authors will present qualitative data in the form of semi-structured interviews on teacher perceptions’ of student engagement, motivation, and interest in STEM careers after playing an interactive online medical mystery video game. Several themes emerged including the following; students were engaged and wanted to learn more about STEM careers, appreciated the diversity and authenticity of the video game content, and made connections between substance abuse and healthy sleep habits.
