Short Description

This study conducted semi-structured interviews with 11 participants from a U.S. public four-year university to examine the effectiveness of fun learning activities in an online statistics course. Fun animated videos and gamified quizzes helped learners lessen their anxiety regarding learning statistics. Learners also realized how to apply statistics concepts to their everyday lives. To improve these learning activities, interactions with online learning materials, more varied types of games, and teamwork opportunities were needed.
