Land acknowledgements allow organizations to explicitly and intentionally recognize Indigenous people’s land occupied in the hosting of events, presentations, or physical workspaces. Taking inspiration from the Design Sprint process, participants will rapidly prototype iterations of these statements for use in future course or organizational materials. The ultimate goal of this session is to determine if land acknowledgement statements can serve as effective inputs to further systemic social justice change related to the design of learning.
