This poster highlights an explanatory case study (Yin, 2018) designed to describe student engagement and motivation in the NASA Spacesuit User Interface Technologies for Students (SUITS) in terms of the ARCS Model of Motivation (Keller, 1987). The purpose of the study is to explain the relationship between the design of SUITS as an authentic learning ecosystem that motivates students to continue pursuing STEM degrees fields and the students’ attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction (ARCS).
