Short Description

This session explores how feminist theory and principles can be effectively enacted in distance education through an emancipatory, dialogic approach to pedagogy and learning design. Research conducted by the presenter will be presented to illuminate the impacts of a democratic, participatory, learner-centered approach to online teaching and learning that challenges discourses of power, promotes equity, and supports student agency and engagement in the learning process. Attendees will be encouraged to discuss implications in their context.
