Short Description

This study explored the effects of personalized reading plans using an e-book library on first-grade students’ reading engagement and comprehension. Based on students’ interests and reading levels, personalized reading plans were created with each student. Results showed that students spent more time reading and their engagement scores increased after using the e-book library. Qualitative findings revealed that students were more engaged in focused reading and involved in off-task, distracting behaviors less during the intervention.
