Relations between Teacher Beliefs and Instructional Practices in Online Learning Environments

Fri, Oct 28, 11:00 to 11:15am PDT (11:00 to 11:15am PDT), Conf Center, Sunset 4

Short Description

The purpose of this study was to examine the relations between teacher beliefs and instructional practices in online learning environments. Using multiple regression, this study found that competence and positive value beliefs significantly and positively predicted several instructional practices in online classes. In addition, there was an interaction between positive value beliefs and traditional pedagogical beliefs. However, pedagogical beliefs were not consistent predictors of instructional practices.
