Thu, Oct 27, 1:00 to 1:15pm PDT (1:00 to 1:15pm PDT), Conf Center, Sunset 5

Short Description

This presentation will present the result of a qualitative research study exploring how students experience gender in online classes. The research included interviews with multiple students centered on their gender-based observations of communication and behavior patterns in discussion boards, small group work, and interactions with their instructors. In addition to describing results, the presenters will share ideas on how to apply these findings to the structure and practices of online classes.
